–HELD VIRTUALLY / ONLINE–
If you have been in a relationship with a narcissist in some capacity whether it be a spouse, parent, family member or otherwise, you are likely to deal with confusion and hurt, just to name a few. Believing we are to blame, low self-worth and people-pleasing are just some of the ways these experiences can affect relationships and our own wellbeing.
This 8- Week narcissistic abuse recovery support group is one of the best places to share and be understood. When you meet with others like you, you see that you are not alone. You will learn from others who validate your feelings and emotions, as you take steps to rebuild your life and be the person you are meant to be.
In order to heal from narcissistic relationships, it’s valuable to strengthen yourself. That’s why each week also includes with a powerful teaching segment designed to find your reality, self-identity, and self-esteem. The combination of sharing & support plus teaching segments makes this support group unlike any other!
“Michelle Joy’s Narcissistic Abuse Support Group was a powerful experience in my recovery journey. The group offered a safe and supportive place to validate my emotional experiences, gain insight into how to better cope with narcissistic relationships, and gather tools I can use to help me heal.” –Laura T. San Carlos, CA
The teaching segments will be brought to life via group discussion, journaling, worksheets and more. They are as follows:
Unsure or unable to trust what you feel? Our own bodies come equipped with their own internal guidance systems, which always point us in the right direction. Most of us have spent so much time and energy trying to do what everyone else thinks we should that we are unable to recognize or honor our inner voice, trust it and learn how to get clear on what it is we really need.
WEEK 2: Your Empowering Narrative
Do you tell yourself that what took place in your relationship was your fault? Do you carry guilt, shame or other heavy emotions? This week will be focusing on reframing the narrative of your relationship “story” into one that is true and empowering.
Did you push aside your true desires, needs, preferences and opinions in your relationship to keep harmony? After a while it can be easy to lose a sense of who we truly are. This week is all about exploring and rediscovering your true nature, your authentic self – which never actually went anywhere, but only gets covered up at times.
WEEK 4: Your Definition of Love
Do you correlate love with, hurt, manipulation or betrayal? This can inadvertently lead to self-sabotage of present and future relationships in a variety of ways. Explore your experiences of love, and shift your outlook to one that is inspiring and congruent with your own authenticity.
How do you perceive yourself as a result of your past relationship(s)? For instance, does a part of you see yourself as inferior, inadequate, insignificant, flawed, etc? While those perceptions feel real, none of them are true and hold us back from the abundance and fulfilling life that is meant to be ours. This week you will explore and shift your self perception using compassionate inquiry.
WEEK 6: Putting Yourself First
Have you done a lot of over-accommodating in your life? Have you tended to put others first by supressing your own needs? While that keeps peace temporarily in the moment, it sends a message to ourselves that we are not important. This week is all about reclaiming your needs and saying goodbye to people pleasing.
Do you have a hard time setting boundaries, or does doing so cause you to feel guilty? Define how to know when to set boundaries, how to communicate them to others, what to do if they are not honored, and how to handle your subsequent guilt, self-doubt, or other uncomfortable emotions you might feel.
In our final week, you will create a detailed self-care plan using all the tools, techniques, and insights you discovered through our time together. We will discuss any barriers that come up, ways to move through them, and ways to stay consistent and accountable. You will create a powerful visual symbol that represents you when you are in your healthiest state of mind, body, and spirit. You will give yourself permission to dream big and aspire to live the life you have always imagined!

This Participating in Michelle’s narcissistic abuse recovery group was transformative and brought so much healing to my life. I got to meet other people who share similar experiences and understand like no one else just how insidious and disturbing narcissistic abuse is. The tools I’ve learned in this group have allowed me to build healthier boundaries with my narcissistic co-parent, tune into more positive self-talk and self-love, disrupt old patterns of second guessing myself, and restore my reserves to help my son build his own resilience. I’m so grateful and feel so much stronger than I have in years. Thank you Michelle! ~Kristin M.

“Through a referral from my individual therapist, I signed up for Michelle’s Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Support Group. I am very glad I joined. Each week had a theme in how to discover your truth, your self-perception, setting boundaries and more, to focus on healing from narcissistic abuse. Michelle did a wonderful job facilitating and allowing a safe place for everyone to share, be heard, and validated. The individuals in the group were supportive and it was sad we all had to be there for narcissistic abuse; however, it was nice to not feel alone and have individuals that understood what you were going through. It was a group that I look forward to attending every week because of how supportive it was. I appreciate Michelle for giving me the opportunity to be able to join a group like this. Thank You!” ~ Lisa A.
