ENNEAGRAM & RELATIONSHIPS STUDY GROUP
This interactive and educational Enneagram study group has a special emphasis on Relationships / Couples. If you are in the helping profession and seeking to help others break through challenging relationship patterns, or just someone who wishes to experience more satisfying relationships—then this group is for you!
Via teaching, handouts, case studies and discussion, we will explore the strategies beneath each personality type that often lead to communication barriers, frustration, lack of relationship connection & misunderstandings.
This group integrates theories and practices from the Developmental Model (Bader/Pearson) to support and facilitate development and growth for each type.
In this group, we will also:
—Discuss how to apply Gestalt principles to effectively manage personality habits vs. higher self.
–Explore how the defense mechanisms of each type impact effective communication and intimacy, and how to work with it from a developmental standpoint.
— List ways that the partners can best support each type in relationship
— Discuss strengths and limitations that each type brings to communication, conflict resolution and intimacy, and strategies to help each person develop capacities to move beyond them.
— Understand how each type tries to get their needs met, unwittingly creating the trap they are trying to avoid via their communication style, and what to do instead.
— Using a developmental approach, we will discuss how utilizing the growth points of each type can help create the connection & satisfaction that couples truly desire.
If you would like to learn proven strategies to facilitate both individual as well as relationship growth and satisfaction — whether in your work with couples or in your own relationship– then this group is for you!
